I’m looking to add a frame/structure to the side of my house. It would be used to house a rotary washing line – with PV panels on the roof. The idea being is that during wet days the panels will offer a fair amount of protection from the rain and during sunny days generate electricity.

The height would need to be a minimum of 2.5m (sloping roof, towards the sun) and a maximum length/width of 4m x 4m. The ground is also sloped towards the sun.

Cost of the frame would be key to this being viable i.e. if it costs too much to cover the washing line I would probably look at cheaper alternatives solutions. Are you able to provide an idea of the price of such a frame suitable for housing PV solar panels. If your require further information to provide an indicative price please let me know.

Structurally the fame needs to accommodate the weight of the panels, as well as the wind and snow loadings

Thanks in advance,
