Hi,
I’m looking for an approximate quote for a small project in my ground floor apartment in the Phoenix Park Racecourse, Dublin 15. I need a single party wall in my living room soundproofed, sound dampened and then plastered/skimmed. The radiator has already been taken off the wall in advance of this job being done.
What I am thinking of is a decoupled isolated wall, backed with high grade acoustic mineral wool slabs and then 2 layers of acoustic plasterboard with a dampening layer of e.g. Techsound SY100 sandwiched between both layers of plasterboard. However I am open to suggestions as to how this plan would be achieved.
The size of wall is 511cm wide X 243cm high – see attached picture. (The main wall is 435cm wide, and then a small corner section of additional 50cm and then 26cm curving around to the window frame).
Is this job something you would be interested in? If so, would you be able to give me an approx. price for it please.
