We would like to remove the downstairs chimney breast from our living room but retain the rest of the chimney breast upstairs and on roof.

The chimney breast is attached to the gable wall of the house. It is block built with a wood burning stove built-in. The chimney breast in the living room is 1.4 metres wide, but is less than 1 metre wide upstairs.
