We’d like to remove an old bath and install a flat-bottomed offset corner bath with 8 jets (Sonas Maya) into a small apartment bathroom under a shower outlet – for use as both a shower and a bath. The system is a standard cold-over-hot immersion water tank with a Stuart Turner negative head pump. For bath use, one issue is that there is never enough hot water in the tank for a bath, and our new chosen bath will even require slightly more water to fill. It seems a tankless heater would not produce sufficient flow, so I was wondering about installing an extra 100 litre water heating tank (such as an Ariston or Atlantic). These are sold as oversink units but could one of these be installed in the hotpress beside the big tank, and could it be set up to heat water at the same time as the existing immersion, with both supplies going to the pump?
Please let me know if this would be possible and if so, a quote for the job would be appreciated – Many thanks
