We have a leak from our bathroom shower, which has also damaged the ceiling in our downstairs bathroom.
The cause of the leak isn\’t the plumbing but the grouting between the tiles and the drain is loose. So when the water builds up in the shower this seeps through the crack between the tiles/drain and is coming through the ceiling. I\’ve confirmed this is the issue by running the shower head into a bucket (no leak) and also pouring water directly into the drain in a controlled manner, so that it doesn’t seep through the grouting (no leak).

I tried fixing this myself with silicone sealant but wasn’t successful.
